Paddling

Head Out in a Canoe, Kayak, or on a Paddleboard
Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner eager to dip your paddle in the water, the Rangeley Lakes Region has something to offer everyone. What better way to immerse yourself in this natural wonderland than by gliding across its tranquil waters. Most lakes, ponds, and rivers in the area offer a flat-water dream for paddlers.
The area's larger lakes are on the Northern Forest Canoe Trail. The NFTC is a 700-mile water trail from Old Forge, New York, to Fort Kent, Maine, passing through private and public lands. The trail follows traditional travel routes of Native Americans, early settlers, and guides. It is the longest inland water trail in the nation.
